A large-scale project has a discernible impact on companies order books and, ultimately, on employment in the construction and railway equipment sectors. In 2021 this strategic support continued despite the headwinds of the crisis, including the notification on the 22nd February of the third and final civil engineering contract for Line 16. Other stages are coming soon, with packages covering railway equipment and station development. This will strengthen not only leading European public works companies, but also the wider regional and national SME networks that collaborate with Société du Grand Paris. More than 10 billion has already been paid to companies building the new metro.
