Within the space of just ten years, Société du Grand Paris
has built up a structure to manage this unique project in
collaboration with its partners. Today, it is one of the leading
infrastructure programme managers and has over 900
employees.
Our main duties are to:
Design the Grand Paris Express transport network.
Fully implement the project: build the lines, structures,
stations and amenities, acquire the rolling stock on behalf of
Île-de-France Mobilités, build the interconnections with the
existing network in coordination with SNCF Réseau and
RATP.
Support the transformation of the Paris metropolitan area
through urban development and real estate projects around
stations.
In June 2010, the French parliament passed the law creating the Grand Paris Express. Immediately following this, the French government created Société du Grand Paris, the public establishment responsible for building this major infrastructure. It works under the authority of two oversight ministries: - Ecological Transition and Territorial
Cohesion. - Economy, Finance and Industrial and
Digital Sovereignty.
Our operational structure comprises eight executive
divisions and four divisions reporting to the Management
Board.
Elected officials play an important role in the governance of
Société du Grand Paris, which is structured around three
bodies:
The Supervisory Board is made up of 21 representatives
from the French government and local authorities in the
Île-de-France region.
The Strategy Committee is made up of elected officials
from the municipalities affected by the Grand Paris Express
and social and business stakeholders in the Île-de-France
region.
The Société du Grand Paris Management Board
implements the decisions and recommendations of the
Supervisory Board and Strategy Committee.
